New 300 or UFC Poster?

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Even though there are only three fights signed, The UFC has already released the fight poster for UFC 74.   There’s nothing amazing here from a design perspective, but there sure is a heavy emphasis on the abs.  I know those guys are in good shape, but Gonzaga with abs like that, I’m not sold.  Throw some Spartans and some spears in the mix and you have yourself the poster for the movie 300.  And as sad as it is, I know that Dana is glad that he doesn’t have to put Sylvia on the front of a fight poster anymore.  There is no amount of PhotoShop work that could make a ripped Sylvia look convincing.

The Huntington Beach Bad Boy411mania just released this interview between one of their editors and former UFC champion Tito Ortiz covering topics including his future with the UFC, a possible fighter’s union, his upcoming fight with Rashad Evans, as well as life with Jenna Jameson by his side.  A bullet point recap of the interview:

  • -If he beats Rashad, he thinks he might get to fight the winner of Liddell vs. Silva.  (Tito, you better pray Wandi wins that one)
  • -Tito and Quinton are friends and have been training together for the past 10 years.
  • -Tito would entertaining the idea of a fight with Rampage IF the money was right, ie, a multi-million dollar fight.
  • -He says Chuck Liddell is Dana’s puppet.
  • -He fully supports the creation of a fighter’s union in order to secure greater revenue for mixed martial artists.
  • -He would even entertain the idea of being a union rep or president if nominated.

Chuck Liddell at the Playboy Mansion

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Getting dethroned of the UFC championship title doesn’t seem to be keeping the Ice Man from having a good time.  Recently the ex-champ  was spotted at the Second Annual ”All-Star Night” at the Playboy Mansion, an event to benefit autism.  Doing good for charity, hangin in the grotto, and  surrounded by beauties…it’s good to be the UFC posterboy!
