Strikeforce EliteXC Press Conference
This is a good press conference but if you don’t have 34 minutes to sit and watch, I’ll fill you in.
Gary Shaw (the event promoter) spends the first 6 minutes rambling a bit, even takes some time to remind everyone to make sure they get their prostate exams as he is a prostate cancer survivor (not to rag on Gary, seems like a real likeable guy, funny too). 10 minutes into the conference the fighters get some mic time. Gary Shaw interjects to show everyone the title belt that will be awarded to the winner of the Murilo Rua and Joey Villasenor fight. Gary tells everyone that it’s the most expensive belt ever made. At the 20 minute mark Phil Baroni, decked out in a nice wife-beater tank top, takes the mic and rattles off 16 f-bombs in the course of 2 minutes. Shamrock is next and is a bit shorter and classier in his commentary.
All-in-all, this is shaping up to be a very legit MMA organization. Watch out mighty mighty UFC.
