60 minutes did a piece highlighting mixed martial arts a while back.  It’s one of the more “balanced” main stream media stories out there and was replayed on television this past weekend.  The video is about 13 minutes long and includes interviews with Renzo Gracie, Dana White, Pat Miletich, and Matt Hughes.

The former UFC champion might have crashed and burned during his Blind Date appearance (you can catch the video clip here), but this time around the big lug seems to be in love.  His MySpace page is spattered with pics of him and his new girl.  Good luck Tim, you two make a nice looking couple!

According to Ken Shamrock, “Yes!”  Although not breaking MMA news, here is an entertaining clips featuring a couple of MMA legends.

Playing off of the “Dear Don” format that IFL.tv has been running with Don Frye, Ken Shamrock makes a “Dear Don” statement of his own, accusing Frye of stealing Freddie Mercury’s (the lead singer from Queen) mustache.  In return, Frye makes a statement of his own that you gotta see for yourself.

The highs and lows of Mark Kerr

Here is a guy who had some of the greatest potential in the sport of mixed martial arts early in its evolution.  For some of the newer fans who may not be familar with Kerr, he took the MMA world by storm in 1997 owning the UFC with 4 straight vicious wins that year in the heavyweight division.  Combined with fighting in other organizations, Mark’s early record was 12-0 with most coming by way of submission or Ko.  He was a truly exciting fighter to watch and a pioneer of MMA.  He even had one of the sport’s first documentries out, The Smashing Machine.  He was riding high, then it all fell apart (more…)

Rawvegas.tv put together a nice video interview with Kendall Grove during one of his recent morning training routines. The first part of the interview details his work out routine in preparation for his upcoming UFC 74 appearance and then progresses to his recent adventures in Canada where he barely made it through customs and also had a gun pulled later in the trip (pretty funny stuff. Although he didn’t exactly say it, it’s a bit inferred that he was scoring some weed when the whole gun incident when down). He also referred to his UFC 74 opponent as a “tought motherf*cker from Canada” and he’s looking to put on a good show for the fans. You can alway count on Kendall to tell you what’s on his mind.
