Phil Baroni Apologizes for His Loss
Love him or hate him, there is no disputing the heart of Phil Baroni as a fighter. As Joe Rogan might say, “he’s got a crazy warrior’s spirit.” Most MMA fans only see the loud mouth, tough guy version of The New York Badass, but I think it is worth sharing his softer, more sensitive side. After his loss to Frank Shamrock, Baroni posted an “apology” on his beautiful girlfriend’s MySpace page:
Im sorry baby
I gave it my all
At the end I had nothing left
i never gave up
i really wanted to win that one for us
for our future
i really am sorry
i never stopped trying to win that fight for you
i fought with my last breath
i left it all in the ring
I just was not good enough
It’s a bit soft for my taste, but it really does show that Baroni has a big heart and is about as genunie as they come.
