Dana White ESPN Interview Recap

Dana White talks to ESPNDana White recently sat down with ESPN Magazine and as usual didn’t pull any punches with his words.  The full interview can be viewed at ESPN.com, but here are the bullet points of what Mr. UFC had to share:

- The Dan Henderson and Quinton Jackson fight will be a unification title bout.

- Dana is trying very hard to make a Chuck Liddell vs. Wanderlei Silva fight happen, and thinks it will happen within six months.

- The UFC will hold an event in New Jersey at the new Devil’s arena in November.

- He does not consider IFL, BodogFight, and EliteXC as competition.  They are not in the same league as the UFC and he views them as “feeder” shows.

- He wanted Baroni to KO Shamrock at EliteXC

- Dana White on Frank Shamrock: “Fran is such a moron.  He’s so hard to deal with.  He really is a jackass.”

- Landing the Spike TV deal was the turning point for the UFC, that’s when dana knew that the UFC was hitting it big.

- UFC is looking to have 10 Pay Per Views over the next 12 months.

- Fedor should be signed with the UFC by the end of the year.
