Find a Bar Showing UFC 74

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

If you don’t ant to cough up the dough to order the event on pay per view or if you don’t feel like watching it on your own, your best bet is going to be heading to a local bar to catch the MMA action (if you’re old enough that is).  We’ve watched our fair share of UFC events at bars and the energy the crowd brings (although nothing like being at the event itself) only enhances the night of fighting (and the beers don’t hurt either).

UFC Fighting News provides a very long list of bars showing the UFC, broken out by state.

We suggest you give the bar a call ahead of time to confirm that they are indeed showing the fights.

We usually write-up our own picks but this time we are going to “outsource” our UFC preview.   We too a look around and found that Jeff Hamlin over at MMA Maddness has put together a pretty good analysis. It’s informative, not too long winded, and he’s a credible source. His picks include Gonzaga, GSP, Huerta, Stevenson, Grove, Leites, Heath, Mir, and Guida.

You’ll have to visit MMAMadness.com to find out how each of his picks will win and get an fight analysis of each UFC 74 match-up.  Click Here.

Photos from UFC 74 Weigh-Ins

Friday, August 24th, 2007

As we’ve being seeing lately, all of the fighters weighed in looking in good shape with everyone made their necessary weight.  As expected, Randy Couture and George St. Pierre drew the most cheers from the crowd, but less expected is that Josh Koscheck drew a lot of boos from the Las Vegas crowd.

Here are a few stare-down pics from earlier today.
