Latest MMA Fighter Rankings

Today MMA News published their list of fighter rankings.  Fedor Emelianenko is still king of the heavyweights, but with all of his inactivity, that can’t last much longer. In the HW division, I might slot in Brandon Vera over Fabricio Werdum. If he wins at UFC 77, then that will seal his status in the top ten.

Shogun ranking in at #2? As much as I like Mauricio and feel that he wasn’t at the top of his game against Forrest, that fight alone should have dropped him down to the middle of the pack. And how the hell is Sardine below Liddell?

Some of the non UFC fighters that stand out include Josh Barnett, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Paulo Filho, Denis Kang, Gilbert Melendez, and or “Shaolin” Ribeiro. Dana White, sign these guys!

  1. CanadianFighter Says:

in the lightweight division i think BJ Penn, Kenny Florian and Diaz should have also been included since he man handled Gomi.
also on the HW division i think Randy should have been if not #1 HW then definetly #2. but since hes retired now u can just wipe him off the map

  2. Brandon Says:

It makes no sense that “Rua” is ranked over Forrest Griffin. Or half the guys on that list. He had no Cardio against Griffin and was exposed when he fought in the UFC for the first time.
