Dana White Holds Meeting With UFC Fighters
MMA Weekly reported today that the UFC recently held a company-wide meeting with employees and fighters to discuss some of the business-related issues facing the organization. Most likely the departure and miscommunication with Randy Couture was the impetus for the meeting as the UFC doesn’t want to be in that position again with another fighter (I hope Anderson Silva attended). As stated by MMA Weekly, here are some of the points Dana made in regards to the meeting:
- The meeting was long overdue and should have been held years ago.
- The UFC has over 100 employees and 250 fighters under contract.
- Subjects covered: steroids, contracts, taxes, “about just everything, everything to do with the business.”
- They will likely hold similar meetings on a regular basis.
