New Welterweight Top 10 Rankings
Today 411Mania main released their top ten MMA fighter rankings for the Welterweight division. According the the MMA section of 411 Mania (actually a pretty reputable source of mixed martial arts news), here is how they stack up the division.

My thoughts.
1. The welterweight division is absolutely stacked.
2. No surprise that GSP is #1
3. John Fitch #2??? Fitch was exposed when he was very much tested against the unknown Chris Wilson, #2 seems a bit lofty
4. Carlos Condit #9??? If you’ve seen the WEC Champion in action you know what I’m talking about

How is matt serra, matt hughes, and karo on the list but thiago alves is not!!

Bj penn is def #2 and soon will be #1 after he destroys Georges St. Pierre. I like and respect gsp who always is so nice and respectfull to his opponets,but he is looked to be some of kind of god by his fans and forget he is a man. like Joe stevenson,pulver and sherk its the wrong time for gsp to be fighting penn. Jon fitch is my favorite fighter and hate to say he is #3.

I agree with John. How can you overlook Thiago Alves after the way he dismantled Matt Hughes? Thiago is easily top 5 on this list, if not number 2 or 3. I think he’ll erase any doubt of that when he fights GSP for the title.
