Sorry UFC, when it comes to heavyweights, you just can’t touch Affliction. On January 24, 2009, arguably the greatest pound-for-pound fighter in MMA, Fedor Emelianenko will take on former UFC champion Andre Arlovski. After Fedor’s impressive destruction of other UFC champ Tim Sylvia, the smart money is obviously on Fedor. My question to you is, in what round and by how will he win?

Emelianenko: 28 - 1 - 0 (One fight in his career, and only due to a cut he lost)

fedor is a force to be rekoned with. his legendary submissions and his unyielding gound and pound will have andre’s hands full. this is a great matchup but i’d have to give this fight to fedor. fedor is just too good.

to the person who said arlovski is better then tim sylvia, well i agree but tim did beat arlovski 2 times. once by knock out the other by decision. i believe arlovski will only win if he fights his absolute best. fedor is great even on a bad day. so lets see wat happens. i believe fedor wins by tko in round 2.

A few years back this fight might have been interesting, but Arlovski has been off his game for some time now. I don’t think it will even be close. Fedor first found KO.

Fedor’s skill level and technical ability is so far beyond anyone else in his weight class. The only people that could challenge him would be Randy Couture and Brock Lesner. Arlovsky will be a speed bump for Fedor.

Fedor is no doubt one of the best in the world! Yes i think Arvloski can beat him but will he? We will see tonight!lol Just remember that it doesn’t matter who fought who and who beat who! Look at Rampage Jackson and Wanderlei Silva! Who thought Rampage would have demolished him like that in their last fight? Especially after Silva beat him up in the two fights before that! Arvloski no doubt needs to be 100% efficient to win! Oh yeah by the way, Fedor would kill Lesnar! Lesnar got lucky against Randy! I like both fighters tonight so i hope it is a good fight for the fans!!!!!!

Well, now that the fight is over I think everybody would agree: it was not Fedor’s best performance. However, he found a way to win… yet again. Arlovski was better prepared, but one mistake against the BEST fighter - and you’re out. Andrei is a phenomenal athlete with great fighting skills, but he does don have a mental discipline to stick to his game plan. Fedor had patience and capitalized. Yes, he can look awkward and vulnerable at times, but that’s the thing: the second you think you got him - he kills you. Ask many fighters who did not think he was the best, or thought they could beat him. Anybody could lose if they make a mistake on any given day. Fedor recovered from several mistakes in his fights. Against Fedor you don’t have that chance. He will beat you in so many ways. And hit did - numerous times. I just want him to kick the shit out of Brock Lesnar - to completely shut everybody up. So far he is best in all of MMA. Period.

Well Fedor did it again! Credit to Arvloski for winning most of the round but that one fatal mistake cost him! Fedor is just so good and so smart! I have to say that he is pound for pound the best heavyweight in the world! So all i can say is someone prove me, many many other people and Fedor wrong!
