The True Fedor vs. Arlovski Odds?

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

It’s no news that Fedor Emilianko is the favorite to win the fight against Andre Alrovski tomorrow night at the Affliction M-1 event. However, this begs the question, how big of a favorite? If you look at the comments from the Fedor vs. Arlovski Trailer posted a couple of months ago you’ll see that most people have pretty strong opinions one way or another, all or nothing.

My question to you is not who will win, but what will be/or should be the odds breakout be for this fight? If you say 100% Fedor and 0% Arlovski, then you’ll only be displaying your lack of mixed martial arts knowledge. I’ll start it off with my vote of 75% for Fedor and 25% chance for the former UFC Champion Andre Arlovski. And what will be the final odds as determined by the fans by fight time? 58% Fedor, 42% Andre. Chime in and leave a comment. Thanks.

UFC 77 Fight Poll - Silva & Franklin Dead Even

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Here is a quick check to see who UFC fans are picking to win at UFC 77.  Considering Anderson Silva’s total destruction of Rich Franklin the first time they fought it’s odd to see that voters have this an even fight.  Since Silva’s victory in which he claimed the UFC middleweight title, he’s defended his belt quite decisively and proven that it wasn’t a fluke.  Rich Franklin on the other hand has not looked overly impressive since his comeback.  There is no indication that he is a better fighter than he was when he lost to Anderson.  Maybe the fans at UFC.com know something I don’t?

So here is how the voting is stacking up:

Rich Franklin 50%
Anderson Silva 50%

Brandon Vera 71%
Tim Sylvia 29%

Stephan Bonnar 84%
Eric Schafer 16%

Josh Burkman 86%
Forrest Petz 16%

Jorge Gurgel 72%
Alvin Robinson 28%

Liddell 91% Favorite - UFC 76 Fight Poll

Friday, September 21st, 2007

It’s no surprise that former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell is an odds on heavy favorite over tomorrow’s challenger Keith Jardine, but 91% is a bit high.  Could Liddell really beat Jardine 9 out of 10 times?  Jardine is no push over but it appears that his loss to Houston Alexander really tarnished his reputation.  Here are the results of the current UFC 76 fight poll as determined on UFC.com.

Chuck Liddell  91%
Keith Jardine 9%

Matt Winman  82%
Michihiro Omigawa  12%

Jerem Stephens  78%
Diego Saraiva  12%

Christian Wellishch  75%
Scott Junk  25%

Lyoto Machida  70%
Kazuhiro Nakamura  30%

Rich Clementi 65%
Anthony Johnson  35%

Mauricio Rua  63%
Forrest Griffin 37%

Thiago Tavares  60%
